PPD Christmas Toy Drive & Operation Polar Wind

Each holiday season, the Foundation supports the Pasadena Police Department’s Christmas Toy Program which brings the spirit of giving to families throughout our community. The program provides new toys, books, and gifts to local children who might otherwise go without during the holidays.

Through the generosity of community members, local businesses, and department partners, officers collect and distribute hundreds of toys each year—helping to make the season brighter for Pasadena families in need. More than just gifts, these donations represent hope, compassion, and the caring connection between our officers and the community they serve.

Additionally, the Foundation supports Operation Polar Wind, put on by participating agencies of the Foothill Air Support Team (FAST) program, Pasadena Police Department employees, and the Pasadena Police Officers' Association. The program features a delivery of toys by Santa who arrives on the roof of Huntington Hospital in his sleigh—a PPD helicopter— and delivers toys and holiday cheer to children in our local NICU, pediatric units, and families affected by domestic violence.
