President's Letter

Dear Community Members:

Welcome to our new website for the Pasadena Police Foundation. This site is intended to give community members, the business community and friends an opportunity to learn about the current goals and accomplishments of the Pasadena Police Foundation, and how it fulfills its mission of helping cops give kids hope. Foundation supported programs include: the Kids Safety Academy, Junior Public Safety Academy, Explorer Program and the K-9 Unit.

Last year with your help we raised funds for youth-based programs and the purchase of our most recent K-9, Chase, a narcotics search dog that has already recovered narcotics and cash in excess of one million dollars. We also honored Officer Darrin Craddolph, the 2017 Myron Yanish Officer of the Year and Jennifer Mendez, the Bernard K. Melekian Outstanding Youth Awardee.

We are currently raising funds for the purchase of a van to support the Explorer program. This van will provide transportation for the Explorers to various activities and events. The Explorer program is for young men and women ages 14-21 years of age. It provides an opportunity for young adults to work with officers and employees of the Pasadena Police Department and their community, and possibly continue towards a career in law enforcement.

Thank you for your interest in and support of our programs.
